More about Audemars Piguet:

Founded in 1881 by Jules-Louis Audemars and Edward-Auguste Piguet in Le Brassus, Audemars Piguet is one of the oldest watch manufactures owned by the original families. Their descendants carried the family names through war and crisis, creating such innovations as the first watch with a jumping hour display and the thinnest pocket watch caliber. Other innovations followed, such as the first wristwatch with a perpetual calendar and the first automatic tourbillon.

Though most known for its Millenary and Royal Oak collections, Audemars Piguet released many watches outside of named collections. The present watch, dating from the late 1950s or early 1960s, is a handsome, Calatrava-style dress watch, in an unusually thin case.
